The challenge

A global document management SaaS provider was looking to improve its online presence and attract more customers. With growth slowing, the market challenger in the education space turned to AXD for help with its content marketing strategy.

The client had invested heavily in digital marketing over its years of operation but had not achieved the desired results. They needed help from an agency with experience marketing in their industry as they looked to take their search and email marketing efforts to the next level.


Our approach

After an initial consultation, we implemented a targeted SEO strategy, including technical and on-page optimisations, link building, and content marketing initiatives. Link-building involved calling on our network in the education space to seek out guest blogging and linking opportunities.

Before starting content marketing, we researched keywords to identify the terms potential customers would be searching. We then set about optimising the existing website content and structure to improve the chances of ranking for those keywords. 

Considering the needs of our client's target audience, we began producing insights articles, eBooks, and webinar promotion content, providing valuable information on how to manage documents within the education sector. We created engaging, informative content, digging deep into subject areas within the spaces of education and document management. 

In addition to sharing the content on the client's website, we worked with the client's sales and marketing teams, creating social media posts and developing email marketing campaigns to help drive traffic and increase leads.


The results

Since partnering with AXD, the client has seen a significant increase in traffic to their website. Organic search traffic has increased by over 100%, and the number of visitors converting into paying customers has also increased significantly.

Working with the client's sales and marketing teams, we helped double email marketing open rates to an impressive 40%, with click-to-open rates averaging between 20-25%. The improvements in email marketing performance led to over 20 direct enquiries in the project's first six months of operation, with the quality and detail of the insights and whitepapers cited as the highest contributing factor. 

The client is now seeing the results they hoped for when they first approached us. We continue to work with them on an ongoing basis to help them maintain and improve their SEO rankings and email marketing performance, driving even more traffic and conversions.
